The Black Dyke Festival 2019 is back!

The world’s most famous brass band returns to Leeds Town Hall for a Gala Concert, featuring the Black Dyke Band and its star soloists, plus special guests The Yorkshire Youth Band.

Black Dyke’s Brass Festival promises to be a highlight in the band’s calendar. The program features music for everyone, including Walking with Heroes by Paul Lovatt-Cooper, Shine as the Light by Peter Graham and Black Dyke Band’s new movie set Harry Potter, For Your Eyes Only, Pirates of the Caribbean. The concert also showcases The Yorkshire Youth Band, which performs Heroes of the North, a new work by Peter Graham. Firmly entrenched as one of the leading events of its kind, the Black Dyke Festival attracts performers as well listeners from all over the UK and Europe to a magnificent venue for a day of workshops and masterclasses rounded off by an audience-friendly afternoon Gala Concert.
The rousing finale will see the Queensbury band joined by their friends from Armthorpe Elmfield, Friezland, Delph, Dobcross Youth, Lofthouse 2000, Royal Buckley and Murley Bands — with one particular highlight sure to be no less than 30 cornet players raising the roof with Bugler’s Holiday and the huge sounds of Suite Gothique to close.
